About EuroDivers - PADI Open Water Diver Certificate
When booking the course, the student will receive an online package from PADI through the Eurodivers Zante diving school. This package includes the complete theoretical part of the course along with knowledge reviews and exams. There are also forms that need to be filled out before starting the course. If the student is under 18 years old, additional signatures from parents or guardians are required. The minimum age to start the course is 10 years old. The theoretical part takes about 12–15 hours in total and can be completed on a desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone. It is recommended to finish the theoretical part before continuing with the practical part. If the student stays on the island for several days, they can complete a few hours each day.
The practical part of the course lasts 3 days. During this time, the student meets the instructor at the dive center at 9:00 every morning. Lunch is provided daily, and the expected finish time is between 16:00 and 17:30.
The first day includes confined water training, which means skill practice with the instructor in shallow water, held at the beach outside the dive center. On the second and third days, the student joins the dive boat to complete 4 open water dives (2 dives per day). These dives can only be done on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. On the last day on the boat, photos and videos are taken during the dives to provide lasting memories of the course.
Once all parts and sections of the course are complete, the instructor will process the certificate online on the last afternoon, and the student will immediately receive their qualification.
The course includes the complete online theoretical package, knowledge reviews and exams, confined water skill training, 4 open water dives from the dive boat, full scuba diving equipment rental, daily lunch, and photos and videos from the dives.
